Father's Day

Today is Father's Day. Happy Day to my big daddy Freddie! and to my soon to be daddy-husband-David. Can't quite call him Daddy yet...since I already have a daddy. It just sounds weird to me at this point. David spent the weekend working in the yard and planting lots more in the garden. We've got a lot of sugar snap peas ready and of course lettuce and greens. I froze all the greens we could harvest at this point. Can't wait for the tomatoes though!

I spent the whole weekend washing and sorting through all the clothes we have received - new and old. Our neighbor gave us two huge garbage bags filled with girl clothes. This has been overwhelming. Does a newborn need 30 newborn onesies? How long do they stay a newborn to fit in to all these onesies? So - wash, sort, put in boxes, label, hang, go back through the boxes, etc. This is what I have done. And I still have a pile of clothes surrounding me as I type. Oh well - she won't be naked!

I'm now at 33 weeks. Just in the last week have I started to experience heartburn...especially after lunch. It's not like I am eating a lot in one sitting and I'm being good about what I eat. Just a lot less space in there these days. I'm also not sleeping as well as I was just a week ago. My plan for the summer is to take lots of naps! Today I had to chase the chickens back to their coop. David had just put up a new fence between the two halves of the yard and these smart girls figured out how to jump on the canoe and over the fence. So - I am running around, corralling them through the gate, and sure enough I pulled something in my hip. Got to be careful - the relaxin is setting in.

My doctor's appointments will be every two weeks now for the next month. I've got 3 more massages to get in before she arrives, weekly yoga, and hopefully a couple more pedicures too! Hoping the sun will start to shine and the heat comes so that I can start swimming outside and get a little bit of color. Angela is due in just a few weeks and we are hoping to hit the pool before her little girl arrives!
