David's 32nd Birthday

For David's birthday we went crabbing at the coast, stopped by the Rogue brewery for free b-day beers, and then headed back to Sue and Kevin's for a feast of the Oregon Coast - 8 dozen oysters, 16 Dungeness crabs, and lots of tuna.  We got to celebrate with friends from Portland down to Arcata.  Thanks for making his day so special!  He had such a fun time.  And of course - the night ended with Bacon Bombs!  Once I figure out how to make a video of those, I will post it.  Here's a few pics...

37.5 weeks and 25 pounds

In honor of my Leo husband and soon to be Leo daughter, I pulled out my Virgo shirt for contrast.  Not exactly maternity wear!

David with Maggie

Just had to post a picture of David with Maggie. This was when he first got to hold her when they came home from the hospital the day after she was born. I like that she is giving him the finger.  It's like she already knows that Unkie David will always be there to tease her.   Oh not sweet little Maggie or sweet Unkie David!

Maggie's Quilt

Quilt I made Maggie
It's definitely bright!  The back is super soft fleece and all the colors are in her room.

Magnolia Jane Koning

It's been an eventful day! Got the call at 1am to come over to Rob and Angela's - Rob says "We're not sure what's going on but can you come on over anyway?" I get there by 1:30am and Angela has been having contractions every two minutes that last 30-45 seconds. They left for the hospital after I arrived, got checked in and at 2am she is 8cm dilated. Sweet little Maggie was born at 2:37am July 16, 2010 weighing 9lb 2 oz. Her actual due date was the 10th. Angela is doing great after her speedy labor and Maggie is an angel. I can't wait to take Wylie back tonight to love on her some more! Here are a few pics I got when I took Big Brother Wylie over this morning to meet her.

Wylie was so impressed with her. He was touching her fingers and toes and thought she was pretty cool! He's pretty excited to be a big brother. He even wore his "Big Brother" shirt to the hospital!

It is HOT!

Well, it's officially hot and I am resorting to sitting in the bedroom with the window A/C unit on in the afternoon. I tried to go downtown today to check out all the sales for "Crazy Days" but could not handle it. I did however enjoy the pool with the Koning's today. Angela is due tomorrow - fingers crossed!

We spent the 4th of July at Aunt Pat's in Eagle Point and enjoyed the hot days by the pool. We went to Ashland for the parade and had a fun time at Deb's house meeting some new folks and celebrating the 4th. I'll try to get some better pictures of the two of us - but that requires asking someone to take our picture.
